Community Foundation of the Great River Bend Community Impact Endowment

$14,365.00 contributions
15 donors
A special thank you to the many people who contribute to the Community Impact Endowment.

History
The Community Foundation was established in 1964 by a small group of community leaders who wanted to do more.  They wanted to pool the charitable resources of area philanthropists for the benefit of the community. The resources were to be used as a permanent resource that would improve the lives of everyone in the area.

Purpose
Today, the Community Impact Endowment (CIE) is a permanently endowed fund supported by many generous donors. This endowment gives the Community Foundation the flexibility to respond to critical needs in the community, as they arise and vary from year to year. These unrestricted gifts provide permanent capital to pursue innovative ideas that improve quality of life in our community.

The following grants are made possible by the Community Impact Endowment:

     Core Mission Grants
     Impact Grants

Impact
2941 grants totaling $9.2M has been invested from the Community Impact Endowment into the Quad Cities since the endowment was started.  In 2016, 89 grants totaling $522K were awarded to Quad Cities area nonprofits.

We appreciate the thoughtfulness of the caring donors who have given a gift to this fund, and encourage you to read this story about one of the first individuals who supported this work, Bea Conrad.
